Jag uppnådde nyligen ett större utbyte av 4MMC-hydroklorid än vad jag hört talas om i ett ögonblick då jag förväntade mig det minst. Innan jag gör det offentligt för alla känner jag att mer än bara 5 körningar är nödvändiga (av 5, 2 på varandra följande var högavkastande, sedan 2 trodde jag att jag skulle förbättra men inte, och en annan gör det tredubbla som krävs för att jag ska kunna säga detta). Men jag fick slut på grejer och jag ser fram emot att helt dokumentera detta med bilder och allt det där. Och för att inte bli dömd för att hålla tillbaka den "värdefulla" informationen kan jag byta ut några kontraintuitiva detaljer i förberedelserna:

-omrörning är nyckeln (för att hålla DCM- och vattenskikten i den mest intima kontakten utan fasöverföringskatalysator)
-Relativt lång reaktionstid (cirka 6 till 8 timmar, jag tar en paus genom att bara pausa omrörningen förutsatt att om skikten är separata är reaktionen nästan stoppad)
-ingen värme appliceras (min tredje och fjärde körning hade genomsnittliga och lägre utbyten när mild uppvärmning applicerades)
-kylning av blandningen och reagensen (vid försurningssteget gav kylda vätskor bäst utbyte)
-Snabbfiltrering (strax efter att de fasta partiklarna fällts ut, låt dem inte stanna kvar eftersom en del av produkten kommer att gå i lösning)

If you use cooling with liquid nitrogen, the reaction mixture in the flask would simply freeze . Therefore, only an excess that is filtered or evaporates into the atmosphere

@lucky2222 there is a lot of information on this forum about this. You can use water or alcohol with sodium hydroxide or triethylamine to produce gas. Triethylamine is more convenient in some cases if it is available to you.

Sry I don't understand clearly your question. The addition of water is used to dissolve the polar impurities in the solution after the reaction (2B4M, methylamine, etc). You need to let it a few minutes then throw away all of the water, only the oil stays.
You can addapt the protocol to 3mmc aswell, you need to use 2-bromo-3-methylpropiophenone as main reagent and keep the same molar ratio (as they are isomers, you can keep the exact same amounts).
