In point 8, I add 20L of ice-cold acetone to the reactor and only separately add HCL 36-38% slowly until the pH drops to 5? Do I mix the HCL with 20L of acetone and only add the mixture to the reactor?

I can't figure out why during acidification the whole thing precipitates nicely until at some point it starts turning blue....

I bet it is due to adding too concentrated HCL 36-38% by which I burn the product and hence the blue mess.

You are dropping the pH to 5. That is too low! The procedure says only drop to 5.5 - 6. Next time, bring the pH to the correct range and see if you have blue then!

I have couple other questions : 2-Bromo-4'-methylpropiophenone is available in market, but not available to deal in small sizes, any way around it ?
and can we do this reaction creating a home made stainless steel batch reactor using heating rod, thermocouple and a pressure guage into it. there is no available equipment available
of size without drawing attention, please guide if you know some tips

i was get dirty 2b4m and when i made freebase i need wash it real good to take out 4methylenopropiophenone form him like u see freebase was green later when i wash he change from dark green to oragne and later pure yellow. Was problem becausw i dont have ph papier and i put to much acid and liquid no was like last time nice white but was dark brown because was real to much acid but is no problem i was him 1 time and all acid i get out form liquid
