I have question about vacuum distillation.
In order to achieve vacuum, my compressor has to run all the time to create good vacuum and tight sealing.
1. Is simple distillation with flask and reflux condenser fine or should I use fractional column like in alcohols, although in this video simple is enough
2. Does your IPA evaporate through vacuum pump instead in receiving flask since all air is sucked through vacuum out because unit runs all the time?
3. Why flasks need to be round bottomed, I have erlenmayer flask as receiving and I don't see reason why I should replace it with round bottom?
4. I also created moonshine, can you tell how to dillute % of ABV, water or distilled water makes it look less crystal clear.
