As everyone knows, amalgam reductions run hot.
I've seen here of using 5 liter flasks for something like 40 grams of p2p, but generally a large vessel to a small amount of precursor, and to me that seems less than ideal. I know amalgam are used in clandestine labs all over Europe, but I don't see how if they are running anything close to medium or large scale.
I'm wondering how one might run larger scale reactions, say in 10, 20, 50, 100 liter vessels, and if the videos here can be proportionally applied, if careful and a bit conservative. As in, if the video uses 10 grams of precursor in a 1 liter vessel, can you use 1000 grams in a 100 liter vessel?
