D'après une recherche sur le forum de discussion le plus exhaustif de l'histoire de la fabrication de méthamphétamine (les archives de Hive), la "dope schtroumpf" est le résultat des bloqueurs d'histamine : Loperamide, Chorphenimin, et loratadine qui ne sont pas retirés des pilules de psuedoephedrine (peut-être même des pilules entières) et l'utilisation de fer ou de cuivre peut donner une teinte verdâtre à l'héroïne.
