Dilute hydrochloric acid–> This can be purchased at a hardware store. He It is sold as a block and sidewalk cleaner. They call it acid Muriatic.

Sodium hydroxide–> This one, you probably already have. It's called "soda" caustic" or bleach in most places; is sink cleaner and Drains.

Ethyl ether–> You'll probably have to manufacture. Don't worry, it's a Soft. Just go to your local grocery store or auto parts store and pick up A can of that "starting fluid" that comes in spray. It is used for cold start of gasoline engines.

Nasal inhaler "VICK"–> No other will work, until where I know about. They are in any drugstore or grocery store, etc. You You'll need about 12 of them, but don't buy a dozen like that unless It's winter, so you'll be able to say it's for your infirmary, which is stocking up for patients. Otherwise, buy two at a time, if possible. Call a friend to help you. The pharmacists of the drugstore they'll usually know what's going on if you buy big quantity.

The list of equipment I will post later, correct me any mistakes in this post, please, I am learning a lot from you, I loved the forum, @Berlin777 helped me a lot, welcomed me, I felt comfortable here

Ethyl acetate is available at the hardware as tsp substitute paint thinner. Sulfuric acid drain cleaner is 95% pure at the hardware. Vm&p naptha is a versatile non-polar solvent. Pure(ish) acetone can be found basically anywhere as fingernail polish remover. Chlorinated carburetor cleaner is dcm, methylene chloride. About 75%. Engine starting fluid often has Ethyl ether and or hectare or hexadecimal. Epsom salt is a good drying agent once prepared. 91% isopropyl alcohol can be salted with table salt to near anhydrous conditions. 🤔 Pyrex pie pans are $3 and work good for pies and also recrystalizations

The engine starting fluid has diethyl ether and either hexane or heptane. There are videos on how to make diethyl ether from ethanol. Devil Springs and Everclear has a high percentage of ethanol. There could be lab ethanol online. Dibutyl ether could be used for a Grignard reaction of ethylmagnesium chloride with acetonitrile and hydrochloric acid work-up to make P2P (Phenyl-2-Propanone).

Hectare and hexadecimal is what Google calls heptane and hexane 😅there's definitely lab grade ethanol on Amazon and ebay. Ethylmagnesium chloride sounds tough to get, but I recently read a document describing the use of cfc's like R-11 and other trichloro compounds to make invitro grignards its amazing what can be bought online these days. I was originally concerned about buying a popular embalming agent from a major online sales company, but the I read that 200 had been bought last month, which made me feel a little better

I meant benzyl magnesium chloride, not ethylmagnesium chloride. Typo. You add magnesium turnings in diethyl ether (or dibutyl ether) and slowly add benzyl chloride to form benzyl magnesium chloride. Then you add acetonitrile. An iodine crystal can help form the grignard reagent. Scratching the magnesium turnings if they're not fresh with a brillo pad steel scratching thing helps. Ultrasound can help grignard reactions too.

....and I assume under argon or nitrogen? Inert atmosphere is a prerequisite to making a grignard I read and it is what has stopped most from attempting it

The diethyl ether is very volatile and doesn't let oxygen in. Sometimes higher temperatures are required, so dibutyl ether can be used, it's still volatile enough to exclude oxygen.

Maybe that's for some grignard reactions that require extended heating that it needs an inert atmosphere and ether isn't enough.

Benzylmagnesium Chloride and Acetonitrile I suppose or you are missing the aromatic ring. Although if you get it working tell me how, I then tell you how to make Amphetamine from the intermediate directly without going though P2P ;)

To late to edit, I just saw you corrected this already.

THF whats PVC in cement/glue is commonly used in Grignards as solvent, thanks for bringing up the di-N-butylether thats a new one for me and seems easy enough to prepare, very useful I suppose I know a shitload of reactions which just run better in ethers like Al/Hg does.

Ultrasound and a iodine crystal added help more then all drying and air exclusion of the world could when its about to get a Grignard going.

If you check this video out,
, you can literally make your own Diethyl Ether.
The problem is getting the Sulfuric Acid.
