Threema... a worthy alternative?

Was curious to see if anyone had an opinions on Threema.. Seems fairly solid when run in anon mode and contacts are added correctly.. Would love to hear your thoughts..

Threema was developed for corporate clients, and has closed source code, which raises some concerns. There are more reliable, open-source messengers, such as Signal. In Threema, one very important function is absent - auto-delete messages on a timer.

Signal is thus far the best most reliable why even open up yourself with threema like that?

I have used Threema for a while I don't like how you can't delete messages or than that it has some interesting features like if your phone is taken you can go to a URL and have it wipe your Threema data.
