So when I am Acidifying it happens very quickly instantly turns very thick. The issue is with the red layer which appears after. When it first thickens. Its a creamy off yellow. However after a few minutes a red layer begins to appear at the top ? I'm thinking I don't have anough liquid to push meph powder put into and acidification keeps rolling so it burns it resulting in the top red layer ?
.I'm thinking when it first pushes put the powder give its a second and add 50 to 100 ml acetone and and stir it? Before putting in freezer?
Advise is greatly appreciated.

Do you acidificaction with acetone dilluted hci?
I think the red color blames to acetone.
Try 37%hci (icecold) without acetone, use icecold dest water mixed with freebase and prepare dest water icecubes.
While acidificaction the rm becomes warm and with icecubes you can bring temp down.
Or use an icebath and overhead stirrer because magnetic stirrer and icebath is not working.
Drop the acid with dripping funnel, every 2-3 seconds 1 drop till you reach ph6 or 5,5.
It should work
