I hope you are reading this at home and not in a crowded, steaming Malaysian detention centre.
Jokes aside, I never, ever would recommend anyone taking anything of the likes like firearms, explosives and illegal drugs onboard. Does not matter if you think it is a small amount and you can hide it, or if it is a large amount and you want to swallow it. What worries me the most is the fact that you are willing to risk probably decades of your freedom taken away for smallest amount of any drug in these countries. Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Thailand - and pretty much all countries that are not in European Union will do horrific things to your life and well being for drug charges. Hell, even in EU it will end badly, only difference is that you will not get literal life sentence or an actual death sentence.
I, back in my early 20's, had a heavy and long dating-back heroin and cocaine habit. I was having an unlimited supply of it (pretty much) in UK. Was heading back to my home country in EU and had to take supplies to last me 10 days. I was very naive and way over self-confident. I packed 10g of great Afghan heroin into 15-20 small rocks that I wrapped into smoking papers and double layer of cling film which would be heat sealed. I would put each rock into different personal belongings: for example, one into one sock, other in the next; two in that small jeans pocket; one in boxers (you take many pairs of boxers and socks for 10 days); I would fold T-shirts and put one rock there, too. I would fold and pressure all belongings with heroin inside them really well, even iron them so they look really prestene and the customs officer would not want to be a rude peasant and mess up my clothing for holidays. I would be sober that day, no street clothing, no strange ''gangster'' behaviour.
This was done twice. I look back at it and would never do this at this age. I was simply lucky. There are dogs at every airport. I know that in Southeast Asia drug smuggling and terrorism is of high concern, so they put extra effort into trying to detect these items.
I strongly suggest you not to even contemplate doing this. Mind you, I did this about 15 years ago. Airport security gets better and better at intercepting prohibited items every year.
I suggest you use DHL, UPS or whatever courier service is available in your region, and use fake names, burner phones, one time email accounts and empty, safe-house type addresses.
