Question How can I make ph 10-12 distilled water? I am doing water steam distillation, I want to hydrolyze amphetamine.

I want to carry out steam distillation of water in a reactor. first the IPA evaporates, then I change the collecting flask, the water and oil leave together as steam, the oil will become transparent, it will float on top of the water, I just have to separate it. Well, I will soon start my first water steam distillation. I was advised that the ph value of the water should be 10-12. how and from what can I make such water??

You cant make distilled water what haves ph higher then 7. Just add sodium hydroxide but its not distilled water but water with NaOH

I would think more about whether 90 degrees Celsius for a flask with water and 80 degrees for an amine is enough for good distillation, but I would decide after a drop from eg 186 degrees Celsius to keep the amine at a height of 120 degrees Celsius and water about 105 degrees Celsius .
