So I know this place is geared toward selling chemical and equipment, but I think it would be very productive if some members here with at scale experience gave us some write ups on how to perform certain reactions at scale in 55 gallon drums.

I know for a fact large scale labs use things like 55 gallon drums, heating jackets for said drums, stirring devices for those drums, and honestly it's pretty common especially for large manufacturers, who will use forklifts to transport barrels of chemicals all day.

I'm just saying that giving people a cheaper, more discrete way to synthesize things means they can produce more, as well as stay in business longer, which means more money for the sellers of chemicals and equipment.

i second this.
gearing up for large scale production is costly and the chance someone has the money for a 50 or 100l reaction vessel is not realistic . not at first. I do see their value and wholeheartedly approve getting one or even one at 100l and one at 5l.

It depends on what you want to make. Amphetamine can be made in 1000-2500L stainless steel tanks. Made from scratch, or old production tanks, milk tanks etc…

200L drums or 1000L ibc tanks for nabh4 reaction to produce mdma

200L drums to produce 10L meth oil in 30 minutes with al/hg

and i can continue…

The reason people don’t write about it here, it is trial and error. While testing you pay a lot of “learning money” on failures. Why give people your trics for free when you fucked up 100k worth of products to invent a good recipe.

for example 4mmc, 1kg scale is easy, 50kg scale is a hell.

yeah, makes sense. that would be a pretty intense 30 min. Isnt there a problem with the heat destroying the amine? at 100 gram batches, it was gettingh pretty hot.
