Question 5-MeO-Tryptamine freebase or HCl?

I know that 5-MeO-Tryptamine is a psychoactive substance as well as a precursor to 5-Meo-DMT,
but wich form of it is? HCl or freebase? (Don't argue with me that it isn't, I know it from personal experience) I also would like to know if there's an alternative way to (if required) turn the freebase into an HCl without the use of hydrochloric acid as it is not available in my area

Thanks! I guess I will have to get it in a lower concentration and use that or concentrate it myself
Additionally, can you tell me what do you mean by better to use the HCl form for use? By this I mean what's the difference?
