Question How to check if nabh4 is real?

Hello, bough some nabh4 about to start a reduction but want to check if the nabh4 is real. How can someone check if sodium borohydrid is real.

Simple methords would be great.

If it isnt real, can I use sodium triacetoxyborohydride in its place or the reaction mixture wont work as it has isopropyl alcohol, which seems not so soluble with sodium triacetoxyborohydride.

Here's an idea.

Na(OAc)3BH may be less soluble in IPrOH but it's water also involved in most cases if not it will eventually react and potentially leave insoluble byproducts. It all depends on the reaction you are intending it for. What is the description of the appearance of the solids.
