Question Freebasing cocaine with NaOH?

Anyone have tried this before?

I know the standard is ammonia solution but I am thinking I try with dilute NaOH solution

Anyone know the pH that coca can have without damaging?

I have, it doesn't fizzle of course, just gets cloudy as the base precipitates in the form of dust, since you are neutralizing hcl with NaOH the byproducts are salt and water. I would at least do the math so you don't leave excess NaOH in the product
