Question Claviceps purpurea/ergot culture: is there any demand?

I have a pure culture of ergot fungi growing right now.
My question is: is there a need coming from this community for this fungi or not? I want to know if it would be worth the effort to sell pure culture of it.

I'd definitely say it's in demand, I remember reading into the idea of harvesting the alkaloids it produces. I think the issue with is that people will find a sample in nature and then put it onto agar and try and resell it without actually finding multiple samples and comparing the alkaloid output or putting the time in to create generations and then pick for the highest output of ergotamine/lysrgic acid.

I think if you offer samples up for sale it could be the start of something great in the manufacture of LSD.

Yeah that's the plan. I have a strain that can produce alkaloids on rye but production in liquid media is not the best yet. I'm preparing mutagenesis to improve the yields. I should see better results in around 6 months to a year.

Well you can understand that as I want to sell this strain at some point I don't really want to explain everything, but I would still be glad to make a separate thread on how I progress. I'll see how much detail I want to put in there!
