Question Can't find extraction for OTC pse pill

Contain= carnauba wax,dibasic calcium,phosphate dihydrate, aluminum lake,hyptomellose,magnesium stearate,microcrystalline cellulose,polyethylene glycol,polysorbate 80,silicon dioxide,titanium dioxide, and the pseudoephedrine.....can you use just alcohol??

If that were the case and alcohol was the answer to the complexity known as per extraction via pills present day I would say you are in for a most unpleasant and difficult extraction messin around with these polymeric pill matrix's nowadays

I am working on my own extraction right now. I start with cold water to split caffeine away.
then I filter, and i do an acid base extraction with NaOH.
pseudoephedrine will precipitate as a soapy base.
diethyl ether (recommended) or any non-polar solvent, shake it well, so the pseudo goes inside the organic solvent.
wait for the layer to separate and get rid of the water.
wash 2 more times with water to get rid of NaOH leftovers.
use HCl gas to turn the pseudo freebase into HCl salt.
discard the organic layer and wash with freezing cold acetone
