MDA FROM HELIONAL HELP

I tried to convert helional into MDA.
I began with 10 grams of helional mixed in 20 milliliters of isopropanol, then added 5.2 grams of hydroxylamine HCl dissolved in 10 milliliters of water. I prepared a solution of 4 grams of sodium bicarbonate in 10 milliliters of water and gradually mixed it into the helional/hydroxylamine while stirring.
At this stage, the mixture appeared as a hazy green resembling honeydew. After stirring for about 12 hours, the color transitioned from yellow to a darker shade, eventually nearing brown.
However, the result was merely a sticky substance. What could this be?
Could someone assist me, please?

I think your pH was around 3, which is too low for oxime formation. Moreover, cold oxime can form a sticky oil.
