Question Leuckart Yields, Amide vs Formate?

I have read different sources saying different things, that the (methyl)formamide yields more, and is run at a higher temp, while also the (methyl)ammonium formate yields more, and is run at a lower temp.

Can you guys clarify what is actually correct?

Nmf will make the secondary, methylated amine in a leuckart.
Formamides work better, at least is what the consensus is I think, I only know about formamide first hand.
