Decide in which category you are interested to synthesis. Search it up here, look videos, watch all comments and you will get a pretty good picture. BB forum also can help you with basically everything you need for synthesis from equipment to reagents. Just ask and the experts here on this forum are very helpfully. Just make sure you ask the right question.

That's right, organic chemistry. You have to study it.

Take all the previous advices given by other members and in addition i will advice you to go slowly and cautiously, first try to fully understand the periodic table, although most of the elements there are inorganic but with a big exception of the CARBON AND HYDROCARBON, and you will have to deal a lot with the later ie; carbon and hydrocarbon in organic chemistry. And also take particular note of elements like, Hydrogen, Oxygen, carbon and nitrogen.
Try to understand their properties and electronic structures, the way they react with other elements. From their you can graduate to simple and basic organic chemical reactions. You will later be responsible for the livelihood and lives of others and maybe yourself, so the time and patience in learning the good chemistry is worth it a thousand folds.
