you must first find out what the lag time of the permeation of THC is with respect to the oral mucosa. If the dissolution time of the strip in saliva is faster than the lag time (the time it takes for the drug to permeate the oral mucosa and reach the blood vessels) then I would not consider the film sublingual. Based on the molecular weight of THC (greater than 300), I doubt the fast dissolution of the strips would allow enough time for permeation to occur. I would suggest a sustained release lozenge instead.
