Was thinking to make this a hobby of mine, mainly because i would have probable cause to invest in lab eq, such as a fumehood etc. It also sounds like a legitimately fun hobby, that'll give me extra experience in working with chemicals

Also would yall recommend to always just buy a fumehood, instead of making it yourself? There's diy tutorials, but Im concerned the electrics might cause a hazard, if I were to work with highly flammable stuff. Is there some safe way to go about this?

Appreciate any opinion on this!

Hi Klintol!

As far as gold extraction from electronics goes: it is not really profitable,
the chemicals used are often more expensive then the output of your efforts.
As a detailed step-by-step explenation how to do it, i can recommend NileRed his video
about gold extraction on Youtube.

Fumehood wise i would personally buy it since i am not so great with electronics,
if you have experience with this then maybe you can pull it off. There are probable
tutorials on the internet how to make them, but you have the risk that it leaks which
you do not really want when it sucks up poisonous or irritating chemical vapors.

Best regards
