Question How to extract LSA from HBWR

Can somebody help with some useful writeup - i want to extract LSA from HBWR seeds. I need help with large scale extraction from minimum 5 kilo of seeds. Can i find it somewhere? The best will be with pictures. I bet large scale extraction will be diferent than small scale. Before i try this:

Its just not working - after filtration i have brown powder on filter not cristaline LSA.

I try this extraction. With Morning glories - 100 gram and i end up with brown powder - not much. Maybe this will work with HBWR but i need somethink for bigger scale - minimum 1 kilo on one time. Is this writeup scalable? On BB forum i cannot find much about large scale HBWR extraction with LSA hydrolisis. The writeups on internet are made to produce liquid LSA for consumption not for large scale extraction to obtain cristaline LSA for further processing.

Internet is full of LSA extractions but its not what i want - i want LSA in cristal form that is stable and can be used to produce LSD.

I think that to obtain pure crystals you would need to do a column crystalography. Sadly, no easy to follow tek for this exists, you would need to read about this in scientific articles.

Thank You. This is what i was afraid of. I checked Reddit also and this is true - cannot find anobydy who have LSA in cistal form, stable, not in some acidic water... I was also looking at old papers from 60-s about ergot alcaloid extraction (Adam gotlieb - acid) but its quite complicated and i was hopeing to get some easy writeup. Thank You for info and during my research i obtain some information about LSH from morning glories. Its interesting - on reddit:

Could you elaborate on that? I'm using Kash's tek but it seems unnecessarily complicated... The results are rather great but idk wondering if there is a better tek

Use a soxhlet extractor and as solvent you can use mixture of ethanol and methanol

Or just add HBWR into ethanol and then filter it

You mean just by turning it into mush and then adding ethanol will do? What about fats, plant fiber and other alkaloids?

They are just spamming every recent topics they can find. Doing that won't yield you a clean extract, even though that technically works. Here we were discussing teks to have crystals as the end product, don't take into account what he said above (excepted the soxhlet, soxhlet are great)

Do you want to extract or isolate pure LSA? If you want to extract, there is nothing wrong with alcohol extraction.

Or perhaps try using the acid/base method because some fats and oils are insoluble at altered pH

I'm literally a trained lab professional, I know how to perform an extraction. What I'm saying is that you're posting low efforts messages that are not relevant to the topic at hand

It seems to me that you both have actually good points! T0lek511 is right in the sense that if we are talking exclusively about "extraction" an ethanol extraction might suffice.

At the same time we are trying to get as pure as one can get LSA which require both extraction then isolation, so archae is not wrong.

Don't believe T0kek511 was doing low-effort posts as the information he provided was interesting for someone like me who is a beginner. And I have deep respect for you two are actually professionals.

I think, and that's my opinion, that you guys were too hostile to each other in the way of speaking! We are all civilized chemists (me, kinda hahahaha cant compare to you guys), we are capable of civil conversations
