Question Benzaldehyde

Hello did anyone know how much time Benzaldehyde can be used since open, as i found my bottle cap cracked and half the bottle filled with benzoic acid.

I think to filter the crystals and use the aldehyde but if it have too much benzoic acid dissolved in it will fck up my calculations. Any ideas ? I want to use thatold benz i dont want to trash it.

no need to chuck it, you can wash with dilute bicarbonate sol. aq. or thiosulfate sol. aq. , good as new

As a chemical seller I could tell that storing Benzaldehyde sucks haha

The crude result was strongly smelling of benzoic acid/benzaldehyde but afther recrystalization the p2np was absoluftly pure and yield was high as always, so the benzaldahyde was perfect afther only a wash
