At the same time i writing this post, i get some lowkey info about easy 0/day exp for SIM.
It is enough to send you 1 SMS with passive payload code and the sender will get access to hear all stuff going around your phone.
You won't get any notifications, even sms, its hidden.
After sms was sended *hacker* recieves call, and he can hear non-stop audio traffic from your phone dynamics. (for about 1 hour)
Tested it on my own and was shocked.
Advices:
1. Dont speak with anybody about business when any phone is in the same room as you!
2. Do not say any triger words that can catch with illegal stuff.
3. Update your phones right after new update comes.

(Tested on Ukrainian gsm net, from my 2 phones)
But it even work at any country but in at borders.

The only thing I've heard about are so called " silent sms" which is there for locating the phone via the radio system, no GPS or something.

Depending on your country police is only able to investigate on for (not sure) 2 months.
If you don't have much to hide, clean your Apparent and multimedia devices and you should be fine if you keep your feet still for the next few weeks to bseeve the situation.

Beside the fact that's not possible to track your phone directly 100% on location with this method.

imo. that is not really make a difference. my advice as not professional but as well not a n00b will be:

- root Your phone, that gives You access to SU settings, and then You can change lot more settings and info which is kinda easy to get for anyone who got a bit of IT skills.

- check all Your connection settings! ( make sure You got no open ports, switch off GPS and channel alerts (like disaster or emergency messages)

- check and uninstall all unnecessary apps and switch off all permission and auto reporting on that one which You use

- not sure about that but, using dummy eSIM sounds better than using normal SIM
