Detectives have arrested two men from the Brno region who were involved in the production and sale of methamphetamine. The 39-year-old disabled man cooked the drug in his apartment and garage and handed it over to an older accomplice for distribution. Although hundreds of thousands of Czech crowns passed through his account, he claims that he ultimately lost money on the sale.

Two suppliers of methamphetamine from the Brno region ended up in the hands of criminal investigators. A 39-year-old disabled man was in charge of producing the drug for at least two years. He then passed the methamphetamine on to a two-year-old accomplice for distribution. The suspect first cooked the methamphetamine in Rajhrad, and later in a garage or apartment in Brno.

"It was there that in recent days, during a house search, detectives discovered a complete methamphetamine brewing facility, including the necessary chemicals. In addition, about six thousand tablets of medication, from which the disabled man produced the drug. The seized quantity was supposed to be used to produce at least four hundred grams of the prohibited substance," described police spokesman Bohumil Malášek.

Detectives found that the man had been producing the drug about once a week for at least two years. It is estimated that he produced at least a kilogram. He handed most of it over to an accomplice, who then sold it.

"The man, who appeared to be trouble-free, always started selling drugs after he returned from work. Although at least one and a half million crowns had passed through his account in the past period, his profit was minimal. Finally, during questioning, he admitted that he was definitely not a good businessman and that he probably ended up losing money on sales," added Malášek.

He is still being prosecuted in custody. However, the producer of pervitin is being investigated at large due to his health condition. Both will have to answer for the illegal production, possession and distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
