In second step reduction this group in symilar reaction like in ephedrine to methamphetamine for by using iodine and red phosphorus. I'm asking beacuse in my country is easy to get 2-Bromo-3',4'-(methylenedioxy)propiophenone (Cas: 52190-28-0) or 3',4'-(methylenedioxy)propiophenone (Cas: 28281-49-4).
